Appleby is delighted to have acted as Cayman legal counsel on Cayman fund establishment and downstream financing transactions in connection with the acquisition of Jinjer, one of Japan's leading HR SaaS companies, by Potentia Capital and J-STAR Co., Ltd. Baker McKenzie acted as borrower counsel for both J-STAR and Potentia with Herbert Smith Freehills and Simpson Thatcher & Bartlett also advising on the fund formation related matters.

The Appleby cross-jurisdictional team was led by Hong Kong partner Eason Huang and Yan Zeng and Fanny Or as lead associates.
