Lowenstein Sandler ranked highly on this year’s Midlevel Associates Tech Survey published by The American Lawyer.

Each year, The American Lawyer surveys third-, fourth-, and fifth-year associates on various aspects of job satisfaction. The anonymous survey asked more than 3,500 associates at 72 law firms to rate their workplaces on a number of factors, including tech investment. Lowenstein was ranked at number 14.

“As part of Lowenstein’s strategic plan for the future, we intend to utilize advances in technology and artificial intelligence to deliver superior work product to our clients with optimal efficiency,” says Michael R. Caplan, the firm’s Chief Operating Officer. “One of our main goals is to champion the seamless integration of technology into legal practices; we do this by guiding our attorneys and staff to leverage digital tools that will maximize business investment returns through strategic data use, analytical reporting, and trend evaluation.”

Jared Kaplan, Chief Innovation & Information Officer at the firm, says: “Lowenstein is ahead of the curve in our technology, how its deployed and how we think about its usage. This recognition by our own associates is a testament to how firm leadership prioritizes technology. By dedicating significant resources to the latest innovations as well as to training, we make sure our lawyers have the best possible tools at their disposal with which to serve our clients.”

Lawyers and staff at Lowenstein have been testing AI tools for document review, diligence, drafting, and production, as well as transcript review and marketing initiatives.

“Being early adopters in this area has also given us an opportunity to partner with clients in the emerging companies and technology sectors,” Caplan adds. “Our immersion in the latest tech makes us ideally suited to counsel companies who seek to harness the potential of exciting developments like AI. It’s a win-win.”
