Scott Michel Chairs ABA Annual May Tax Meeting In Washington, D.C.

Scott Michel, Member of Caplin & Drysdale, served as Chair of the American Bar Association Section of Taxation annual May Tax Meeting in Washington D.C. on May 3-4, 2024. Thanks to hard work of the Section staff, leadership, and members, the successful meeting brought together 1,900 private and government tax professionals from the U.S. and around the world. The panel discussions, which included many Caplin lawyers as speakers, touched on all aspects of the U.S. tax systems throughout 36 committee meetings and various task forces and networking events, and the Section's Plenary Luncheon featured an outstanding panel on taxation and climate policy. Mr. Michel’s term as Section of Taxation Chair continues through August 2024.
