Shearman & Sterling’s Senior Partner and Chair Adam Hakki has been named to the inaugural Forbes list of the Top 200 Lawyers in the United States.

The Top Lawyers list is the product of “rigorous, multi-stage process” conducted by Forbes to identify the “best in the business” among lawyers involved “in the most consequential cases, deals or legal trends in recent years.” Adam is one of only 200 lawyers nationally selected for this list across all fields and one of only 11 lawyers in New York selected for the category of “Litigation.”

Adam is an award-winning trial and investigations lawyer with decades of experience representing corporations, directors, executives, special committees and financial institutions in high stakes matters in the courtroom, in internal investigations and before government enforcement agencies. In both 2023 and 2021, The American Lawyer named Adam "Litigator of the Year,” and Adam is the only U.S. lawyer recognized by Chambers USA in the practices of Securities Litigation, Antitrust Litigation and Financial Services Enforcement and Investigations.
