Appleby trainee Sami Benbatoul has been formally called to the Manx Bar. Sami was officially sworn in as an Isle of Man Advocate by the Island's First Deemster, His Honour Deemster Corlett on Thursday 21 September 2023.
Sami joined Appleby's Advocate Training Programme in 2021 where he undertook a two-year period of Articles and Manx Bar exams. Sami passed the Manx Bar exam in November 2022.
Sami will now join the Isle of Man's leading law firm as an Associate in our Dispute Resolution Department.
Kyle Sutherland, Partner at Appleby Isle of Man and Sami's Appleby mentor, said: "We are delighted that Sami has finally been called to the Manx Bar. Sami has worked extremely hard these last two years completing his Articles and Manx Bar exams and we look forward to seeing him progress with his legal career in the Dispute Resolution team at Appleby."
Sami Benbatoul, said: "I am delighted to have been called to the Manx Bar after the past two years of hard work and study. I would like to thank everybody at Appleby for their support throughout, and I am very much looking forward to continuing my career and gaining further experience at Appleby."
