Palo Alto – August 25, 2023 – Cooley advised Cellares, the first integrated development and manufacturing organization (IDMO) dedicated to clinical and industrial-scale cell therapy manufacturing, on its $255 million Series C financing. Lawyers Josh Seidenfeld and Will Hong led the Cooley team advising Cellares.
Koch Disruptive Technologies led the financing round, with participation from Bristol Myers Squibb, DFJ Growth, Willett Advisors and existing investors Eclipse, Decheng Capital and 8VC. Cellares will use proceeds from the financing to launch its commercial-scale IDMO Smart Factory, which seamlessly integrates advanced robotics, purpose-built technology and interconnected software.
Cooley has represented Cellares since its formation in 2019.
