Arnold & Porter was named among the top 10 firms the U.S. in The American Lawyer's 2023 A-List. This is the 14th year Arnold & Porter has been included on the annual list since it was introduced in 2003. The A-List ranks firms based on quantitative and qualitative factors, including revenue per lawyer, pro bono commitment, diversity, associate satisfaction, racial diversity, and percentage of female equity partners.

According to The American Lawyer's annual report, firms featured on the list are those that are able to adjust to change quickly, no matter the challenge, because "the goalposts keep moving, and the playbook keeps evolving." The firms on the 2023 A-list "know who they are and what they do, and do them well," The American Lawyer said.
The American Lawyer also recently recognized Arnold & Porter as a top-5 firm on its 2023 "Pro Bono Scorecard" for its national pro bono work and a top-10 firm for its international pro bono work.
