CHICAGO — ORBA, one of Chicago's largest independent accounting, tax and consulting firms, is pleased to announce the appointment of Joseph A. Odzer, CPA, MST as its new Managing Director. Joe joined the firm out of college in 1986 and became a director in 1997. In the past, he has served as a member of the firm's Executive Board. Joe will succeed current Managing Director, Mark A. Thomson, CPA, who has held the role for the past 12 years, and is retiring after more than 43 years of service at the firm.

"Joe brings a distinct skill set and unparalleled expertise to this role, as well as a keen perspective and thorough understanding of firm culture, having been with the firm for many years. He will continue to drive and position the firm for continued growth and success in the future."

Joe is an Illinois licensed Certified Public Accountant. Additionally, he holds an Illinois Life and Health Insurance license as well as a Series 65 Uniform Investment Adviser license. He attended the University of Illinois at Chicago, where he earned his degree, with honors, in accounting. Joe then went on to study at DePaul University, where he received a master's degree in taxation.
