Schoenherr has won the "Deal of the Year" award by renowned legal publisher International Financial Law Review ("IFLR").

At the IFLR European Awards Ceremony held in London on 3May, Schoenherr received the award in the category Equity for advising Dr. Ing. h.c. F. Porsche AG on its Initial Public Offering ("IPO") as sole Austrian counsel. The advising Schoenherr team led by Christoph Moser is being honoured for its work on this matter, the largest European IPO on record by market capitalisation.

With approximately EUR 9.4bln in preferred shares sold to the public, the deal is trumped only by two IPOs from the 1990s in excess of EUR 10bln, looking at offer size. It also involved the broadest retail offering in Europe to approximately 280 million people in six European countries, including Austria. The Schoenherr team advising on the deal was led by Christoph Moser (partner), and further consisted of Angelika Fischer (attorney at law), Clemens Stockhammer (attorney at law) and Marco Thorbauer (partner).

"We are proud being the Austrian part of this impressive IPO with a significant retail contribution," said partner and co-head of Schönherr's capital markets practice Christoph Moser. "This award once again underscores the excellent collaboration, both within our firm as well as with all transaction parties."
