Clyde & Co is pleased to announce the addition of six partners in the Asia Pacific (APAC) region, continuing the regional growth trajectory of the firm.

Over the last two years, Clyde & Co has tripled the size of its regional office network and more than doubled the number of partners in the APAC region. With the current new additions, the firm now has 46 partners in region?. Three of the new partners are lateral hires, and three are via internal promotion.

Kon Nakousis joins in Sydney as a construction partner, arriving from Minter Ellison. Kon advises both principal and contractor clients across the construction and engineering sectors, covering front and back-end construction, commercial matters and dispute resolution.

Justin Tan arrives into the firm's Singapore office as a corporate partner, as Clyde & Co's corporate team continues to build up bench strength across the region. He joins from Singaporean firm Rodyk & Davidson, and was previously with Allen & Overy for seven years in Singapore, Tokyo and Shanghai. Justin has a pan-Asia practice; extensive experience in Singapore and other South East Asian countries, China and Japan (having lived in all of these jurisdictions). His focus and experience is centred around M&A, commercial and projects, with particular expertise across the industrials, energy, infrastructure, real estate and chemicals sectors.

June Yeum has joined Clyde & Co's Singapore (and New York) office(s) as an international arbitration partner. She is also regularly involved with international business litigation and negotiations across Asia. June arrives from Lee & Ko in Seoul where she was co-head of the International Dispute Resolution Group. Prior to Lee & Ko, June was with Baker & McKenzie and Duane Morris in New York.

Three internal promotions to partner have also become effective as of 1 May, and include Gareth Horne in Sydney, in the firm's flourishing Australian insurance practice, who also represents Clyde & Co's first internal promotion to partnership in Australia. Gareth joined the firm in 2012 from Allens, along with the team of partners who established Clyde & Co in Australia;  Trudy Seow in Clyde & Co's market-leading aviation liability practice, based out of Singapore; and transportation finance specialist Conor Warde in Hong Kong, who has been actively leading development of the firm's ship finance and leasing practice across Asia and is an active member of the APAC marine sector team.

Asia Pacific board member and partner, Brian Nash, commented,  "This series of additions and promotions reflects the commitment of the firm in continuing to develop the APAC region and our people.  Each of the new appointments adds to the focused platform Clyde & Co has in place, and builds on the remarkable strength of team already in place in the APAC region."

"The additions are strongly aligned with the firms' sector development focus, as we continue to expand capability in line with global and regional strategy."

With more than 2,700 staff across six continents, Clyde & Co is a pragmatic and dynamic international law firm with a distinctive focus on core sectors of infrastructure, international trade, natural resources, transportation and insurance. The firm has a strong reputation for its work in and with fast-moving and volatile emerging markets, and for a history of managing complex, multi-jurisdictional transactions and disputes.
