Malta on Offshore Financial Centres

Located in the heart of the Mediterranean, between the north of Africa and southern Europe, Malta is a modern international commercial hub with a global draw.

Further to its efforts to place Malta as a hub for digital innovation, the Maltese Parliament has, on the 26th of June, approved forthcoming laws concerning Distributed Ledger Technology (‘DLT').

DBRS Ratings Limited has upgraded the Republic of Malta's Long-Term Foreign and Local Currency Issuer Ratings to R-1 (middle) from R-1 (low).
