The final compromise proposal for the revised Insurance Mediation Directive (the Insurance Distribution Directive ("IDD")) was published on 16 July 2015.

The final compromise proposal for the revised Insurance Mediation Directive (the Insurance Distribution Directive ("IDD")) was published on 16 July 2015.  The IDD will now be submitted to the European Parliament for a vote at first reading, before final consideration by the Council of the European Union. Member states will have two years to transpose the IDD into national laws and regulations.
