Following the adoption of the seventh package of sanctions against Russia in July 2022 (see our update on that package here: Seventh Package of EU Sanctions against Russia: EU Council adopts 'maintenance and alignment' package):
- The EU Council announced the extension of the sectoral sanctions for a further 6 months until 31 January 2023 and published the related Council Decision in the Official Journal.
- Two further individuals were added to the sanctions list following an announcement by the EU Council.
