On October 6, the Dutch Data Protection Authority
("DDPA") determined (source document in Dutch) that a
software company unlawfully processed personal data of Windows 10
users. According to the DDPA, the company did not clearly inform
its users about the purposes for which the personal data was being
collected, and users could not provide valid consent for the
processing of their personal data.
