AccelerateIP has announced a new round of intakes for Streams 2-2 and 3. AccelerateIP will accept applications for both streams between May 14th to June 15th, and successful applicants will be notified in late July. The timeline for completing Stream 2-2 projects is September 1st to November 30th, 2026, and the timeline for completing Stream 3 projects is August 17th, 2026 to February 2nd, 2027.

The AccelerateIP program provides financial support for companies to protect, manage, and leverage their intellectual property. Stream 2-2 projects are directed to development of an IP strategy, and can include activities such as IP audits, patent and trademark searches, review of prior art for patentability or freedom-to-operate analyses, and review of third-party trademarks for registrability and freedom-to-operate analyses. Stream 3 projects are directed to implementation of an IP strategy, and can include activities such as preparing, filing, and prosecuting application for registration of IP, including trademark applications, patent applications, and industrial design applications.

A full list of eligible activities, as well as eligibility to qualify for either stream, is available on the AccelerateIP website here.

To apply for either Stream 2-2 or 3, applicants will require a quote from a legal service provider. As a qualified AccelerateIP legal service provider, McMillan would be pleased to provide a quote for any eligible applicants.
