Premier Rachel Notley shuffled her cabinet in a swearing-in ceremony that took place at Government House in Edmonton on June 18, 2018.
Brian Malkinson (Calgary-Currie) was a new member appointed to Executive Council, as Minister of Service Alberta. Danielle Larivee (Lesser Slave Lake) was appointed Minister for the Status of Women, in addition to her existing responsibilities as Minister of Children's Services.
Both the Service Alberta and Status of Women portfolios were formerly managed by Stephanie McLean (Calgary-Varsity), who was shuffled out of cabinet this morning, as she will not seek re-election. The next provincial election is expected to be called between March 1, 2019, and May 31, 2019.
The Alberta New Democrats (NDP) last shuffled its cabinet on October 17, 2017, when MLA Sandra Jansen (Calgary-North) was named Minister of Infrastructure, 11 months after she crossed the floor from the former Progressive Conservative (PC) Party.
