The Liberal Government tabled its 2016 Federal Budget on March 22, 2016. As widely anticipated, Budget 2016 included major increases to program spending and tax expenditures, with measures that targeted seniors, students, and families with children. At the same time, there is a continued focus on tax measures designed to restrict the perceived avoidance of corporate taxation, and to limit the leakage of tax revenues to other international jurisdictions.

You can find BLG's full analysis of the Federal Budget and learn more about these and other new proposed tax measures here.
