From 1 July 2019 the high income threshold for protection from unfair dismissal will increase to $148,700 from $145,400. The compensation limit for unfair dismissals occurring on or after 1 July 2019 will also increase to $74,350 from $72,700.

Increases to all modern award minimum wages, the national minimum wage and national training wage are 3% from the first full pay period that starts on or after 1 July 2019. For more information on the Annual Wage Review Decision, refer to our previous article here.
