Argentina's Estudio Beccar Varela has helped Austrian wood panels company Egger acquire assets from counterpart company Masisa.

Masisa, which is headquartered in Chile, hired Allende & Breain Buenos Aires and Carey in Santiago to sell its Argentine subsidiary for US$155million. The sale was agreed on 17 July.

The transaction is subject to regulatory approval in Argentina and is expected to close within three months.
