It is 12 months since Ardent Leisure (the parent company of Dreamworld) was fined the highest penalty ever imposed ($3.5M) for a breach of primary safety duties under Queensland work health and safety laws. And it is a month since the first industrial manslaughter charge was laid under the Qld Electrical Safety Act 2002 (since those provisions were introduced in 2017). So, there is no better time for executives, managers and supervisors to ensure their business has a culture of safety that is implemented, supported and adhered to at all levels.

Please join Gemma Sharp in our upcoming safety forum to discuss this important topic.

In this session Gemma will examine:

  • What is a 'culture of safety'?
  • Why is having a culture of safety important?
  • How do you identify and assess whether your business has a strong and compliant culture of safety?
  • What are the suggested steps you can take to implement, improve and foster your current safety culture?
  • If you are unable to clearly demonstrate that such a culture exists across your organisation, what are the risks under work health and safety laws?

The webinar will be recorded, so, if you are unable to attend at the advertised time, we will send you the live recording for future viewing.

We hope you can join us.
