Withers is proud to be recognized in the latest edition of Chambers & Partners High Net Worth (HNW) Guide which was released July 22 and features four of the firm's professionals across multiple jurisdictions in the Art and Cultural Property Law category. The firm has also been recognized in Band 1 in the US and Band 2 in the UK for their art law practice.

The guide identifies and ranks law firms and lawyers around the world, with the HNW Guide specifically focusing on those representing wealthy individuals and families. This year, the firm was proud to see Dean Nicyper, partner and Regional Division Leader for the US Dispute Resolution Division, enter the rankings in Band 2, and Georges Lederman, special counsel in the white collar defense and investigations team in New York, enter the rankings in Band 3.

Georges and Dean were joined by the firm's global head of art law Diana Wierbicki, who is based in New York and was once again recognized in the rankings in Band 1, and Eleni Polycarpou, a partner in the London disputes team, who was recognized in Band 3 of the rankings.

Sources that spoke with Chambers indicated that the firm is regarded as "a one-stop shop for all issues related to the sale of artwork," noting that "Diana and her team not only operate in New York but also in the international context that Withers has a footprint in, in London and Hong Kong." Additional feedback includes that the team is "extremely knowledgeable and professional" and comments that, "While having a dispute is never a pleasant experience...it was a pleasure to work with the team at Withers."

"We are proud that our team once again has been recognized by Chambers HNW Guide and are thrilled to see Dean Nicyper and Georges Lederman join the ranks of individuals that have been included," said Diana. "The rankings reflect Withers' ongoing service of our clients who participate in the international art market, and demonstrates our capabilities both in the transactional and dispute resolution sectors of our art practice. I am particularly proud to see Dean and Georges included this year because their recognition reflects the strength and continued growth of our dispute resolution capabilities."
