Frank joins our national Intellectual Property Practice in Boston, where he partners with clients pioneering next-generation electrical and computer technologies to develop and execute smart patent strategies. He has counseled companies producing cryptocurrency and blockchain systems, social media and internet applications, autonomous vehicles, and medical tools and devices.

Frank has handled portfolios ranging from several to hundreds of patents. His clients include many growing, dynamic start-up and mid-market companies that benefit from his keen technical skills and exceptional understanding of the complexities of global patentability. With a background in computer engineering and experience starting his own web hosting company, he works hand in hand with clients, often helping them build their portfolios from the ground up.

Frank has been included on the Massachusetts Super Lawyers list of "Rising Stars" and named an "Up & Coming Lawyer" by Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly. A proven patent prosecutor and strategist, he is recognized for working closely with client teams to develop patentable ideas and to grow and protect their patents around existing portfolios and products. He has extensive experience managing international filings and coordinating claim development to ensure global enforceability, and he is keenly attuned to his clients' needs and goals.

Prior to joining Mintz, Frank was a partner with a global intellectual property firm in Boston and worked in software engineering at a Boston-area start-up. He maintains an active pro bono practice and has worked with the American Civil Liberties Union of Massachusetts and many other nonprofits.
