"We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all [people] are created equal." The Declaration of Independence

Taft is committed to these ideals. Taft stands for racial and social justice, equal opportunity, the extinguishment of all forms of hatred, and peaceful and balanced solutions. It is time. America took a small, but significant step on the path toward justice, as a diverse jury of his peers found former police officer Derek Chauvin guilty of all charges for his actions in taking the life of George Floyd.

Taft acknowledges that we must continue the fight for sustainable solutions to address the pervasive and systemic socio-economic issues that prevent this country from being "One America." Yesterday's verdict should serve as an impetus for real and sustained equity and justice for all. Taft is a thought leader in the United States legal industry, having worked with great resolve to provide a modern workplace culture that promotes fairness, diversity, inclusion and equal opportunity for all of its employees.

We will continue to partner with others in the communities where we live and work to develop meaningful and lasting solutions in furtherance of these important goals.

"Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere." Martin Luther King, Jr. (letters from a Birmingham jail).

The conviction of Derek Chauvin shows the country can and must do better.  So will Taft.
