Bruce McDonald, a partner in Jones Day's Antitrust & Competition Law Practice resident in Houston, will serve as chair of the second annual "Antitrust TX" conference on October 27-28. Tom York, an Antitrust associate in the Dallas Office, will moderate a panel discussion during the virtual event.

Historically the world's energy capital, today Texas attracts businesses in many major industries, each facing the challenges of a changing antitrust landscape. Now more than ever, Texas companies—many of them key players in energy, technology, health care, transportation, and manufacturing—need good antitrust counsel.

Presented by a faculty of inside and outside counsel, this event provides company counsel and compliance officers an opportunity to learn more about how antitrust plays out in Texas industries. The conference will cover global competition law developments, compliance best practices, the effects of declining oil prices and cost reduction efforts on antitrust in the energy industry, recent enforcement actions and litigation in health care, and IP and antitrust in technology sectors.
