Walkers' market-leading Cayman Islands law team based in London have advised global service provider Hawksford on its acquisition of Paradigm Governance Partners (Paradigm), a Cayman Islands and US-based specialist governance and fund services company.

The acquisition establishes a new presence for Hawksford in the Cayman Islands while also enhancing its visibility in the key US market.

The Walkers team, working with lead counsel DLA Piper in the UK, was led by London-based Corporate partner Patrick Ormond.

The Walkers team also included London-based Regulatory & Risk partner Sara Hall and senior counsel Benjamin Twidle, Cayman-based Insolvency & Dispute Resolution partner Nick Dunne (providing specialist employment advice) and London-based Finance & Corporate senior associate Ross Wilding and associate Catherine Outerbridge.

Patrick Ormond said: "We are delighted to have been involved in such an exciting transaction for our client Hawksford as they enter the Cayman market and to be a small part of their growth story."

"We are particularly pleased to have been able to provide a joined-up solution from our Corporate, Regulatory & Risk and Insolvency & Dispute Resolution practice groups."
