The Isle of Man's Agreement for the Avoidance of Double Taxation and the Prevention of Fiscal Evasion, with Respect to Taxes on Income with the State of Qatar, entered into force on 15 November 2012.

The agreement was signed 6 May 2012 in Qatar by Mr Moftah Jassim Al Moftah, Qatar's Director of Public Revenues and Taxes and by Eddie Teare MHK, the Isle of Man's Treasury Minister.

The Isle of Man ratified the agreement at the June 2012 sitting of Tynwald, and the Chief Minister, Allan Bell MHK, informed the government of the State of Qatar that ratification had taken place. The Qatar Embassy in London has now confirmed that Qatar has completed its own ratification procedures.
