As a result, many retailers have experienced a sharp decline in revenue and employees, as a result, have faced a reduction in pay or job loss. To protect individuals and business against the economic effects of this order, California Governor Gavin Newsom executed Executive Order N-28-20, which lays out a structure for local governments in implementing moratoriums on evictions of commercial tenants.
