Tomorrow, Governor Tom Wolf will deliver (virtually) his FY 2021-2022 budget address to a joint session of the General Assembly. Although he won't be at the rostrum in the House of Representatives like usual, Governor Wolf will update Pennsylvanians on the state of the Commonwealth and lay out his budget plan for the fiscal year.

Coverage will start at 11:00 a.m. and can be viewed here.

Last week, the Governor provided a sneak peek at his speech when he outlined his 2021 agenda. Some notable proposals that we'll likely hear tomorrow include:

  • Allocating $145 million to businesses harmed by the COVID-19 pandemic;
  • Injecting billions into a reformed workforce development system;
  • Investing in public infrastructure;
  • Increasing the minimum wage to $12/hour, with a path to $15/hour;
  • Reducing the corporate net income tax and closing the Delaware loophole;
  • Legalizing adult-use cannabis; and
  • Building on criminal justice, health care, and election reforms.

In addition to the budget address, both chambers will be in session Tuesday and Wednesday. The House added a session day on Thursday, after snow caused session to be cancelled on Monday. An updated committee meeting schedule can be found here:
