It is just over three weeks until the introduction of fees in employment tribunals and the Employment Appeal Tribunal takes place on 29 July 2013.

We reported last month that UNISON announced their intention to challenge this through the courts.

A Scottish firm of solicitors, Fox and Partners, has beat them to it and yesterday lodged a petition for Judicial Review at the Court of Session in Edinburgh to challenge the introduction of fees.   An initial hearing is fixed for an interim interdict at 10am tomorrow, Thursday 4th July 2013. If granted, the fees will be prevented from being introduced until a full hearing with all interested parties takes place.

We will keep you up to date with developments.
