Malta Tax

The Minister for the Economy, Investment and Small Business has released the Tax Credits for Micro Enterprises and the Self-Employed (Amendment) Regulations beneath Legal Notice 36 of 2016. This was done following a consultation with Malta Enterprise.

According to the principal regulations, Malta Enterprise may grant tax credits to female-owned running businesses and trades. In order to be granted tax credits, the undertaking must provide the relevant proof showing that it is applying to develop, modernise of further invest in its business operating in Malta.

The tax credits shall not exceed €50,000 over any period of three consecutive years.
