In June, the Russian parliament adopted amendments to counterterrorism laws and public security measures, many of which affect the technology sector. Among other requirements, the amendments oblige communication service providers to store in Russia all information on their customers' and internet users' communications and messages for specified periods and disclose any data to Russian law enforcement authorities upon their request.
