Romania on Sales Taxes: VAT, GST

The Romanian fiscal legislation governing microenterprise income taxation has witnessed significant amendments with the enactment of GEO no. 31 of 2024.

Unable to keep its budget deficit under control, Romania announced a comprehensive package of tax measures earlier this year aimed at ensuring the country's long-term financial sustainability.

There will be a significant number of tax changes in Romania in 2023. While companies may welcome some of them, others will bring them additional tax costs this year or next.
