Winston & Strawn's Chief Talent Officer Lisa McLafferty was featured in a Law360 Pulse article discussing the results of the publication's Summer Associates Survey.The survey, which garnered responses from 670 summer associates across the United States, ranked Winston's 2022 Summer Associate Program sixth in the nation amongst BigLaw firms.
When preparing for this summer's program, Lisa said "[t]he biggest thing was making sure we provided as many opportunities as we could for them to be together." Summer associates attended social events such as MLB games, firework shows, and vineyard tours, and were provided with mentorship opportunities such as the lunch program, which allowed them to sign up for a meal with a firm lawyer or representative.
"[W]e've gotten great feedback," Lisa said.
