Moore Australia WA was pleased to co-host a Viet Nam Industry and Trade Forum on Thursday 21 July 2022 in conjunction with the Western Australia Vietnam Business Council and Vietnam Consulate. It was the inaugural event and the focus of the Forum was the follow-up of the memorandum of understanding signed between Vietnam's Ba Ria Vung Tau Province (BRVT) with the WA Government eighteen months ago.

This Forum was a great way to connect, build important business relationships and develop new opportunities between the countries' key stakeholders. The key stakeholders in attendance included David Morgan, President at WAVBC, Amanda Rickman A/g Director at ASEAN Invest and Trade Western Australia, Mr Bui Quoc Thanh, General at Vietnam Consulate, Chai Wen-Shien, Chairman of the Moore Australia Asia Desk. Business senior management from both Viet Nam and Australia who were looking to snap up the growth opportunities present in both countries, were also in attendance.

The Forum included presentations on trade opportunities from Viet Nam to Western Australia and vice versa. The key industry sectors highlighted from across the presentations included Agriculture, Aquaculture, Resources & Energy, Manufacturing, and Science Technology & Innovation.

"It was our pleasure to host such a valuable forum and to acknowledge so much potential between the two countries. As emphasised during the Forum, it is about building a two-way trade relationship and to showcase the support available from the Vietnamese Government and Western Australian Government. Active collaboration always brings to light new opportunities and a greater depth of understanding and information. I look forward to seeing these business relationships prosper and benefit both countries", Chai Wen-Shien, Chairman of the Moore Australia Asia Desk Committee.
