New York– Stroock today welcomed Gary Silber as a partner in the firm's Corporate and Tax practices in its New York office.

"Gary bolsters the tax element of our corporate group. His impressive experience with large, high-profile private equity firms and creative, practical approach will advance our ability to support clients through the transactions that are key to their business goals," said Alan Klinger, Stroock's Co-Managing Partner.

Gary focuses on the tax structuring of various transactions including private equity, M&A, bankruptcy, restructuring, real estate, capital markets and financings.  His experience includes advising leading global private equity firms on the tax issues of a range of transactions.  Gary's clients also include utilities, pharmaceutical companies, sports franchises, real estate developers and autonomous vehicle ventures.

Gary joins from Weil, Gotshal & Manges and earned his LL.M. in Taxation from NYU Law School, his J.D. From Columbia Law School and his B.A from Touro College.
