Insurance risk and commercial law firm BLM was host to the 2021 Shenzhen Global Investment Promotion Conference, which took place in London earlier this month.
Supported by the Commerce Bureau of Shenzhen Municipality and the Chinese Embassy, the annual conference aims to facilitate and foster commercial relations whilst promoting opportunities for investment into the city of Shenzhen, China.
Opening the conference, BLM Commercial Partner Matt Poli, gave a market overview of the last year, including the fact that merger and acquisition and fund raising activity remains strong despite the impact of the pandemic.
Matt was joined by representatives from Bank of China, Grant Thornton, HSBC Holdings Plc, London Stock Exchange and TusPark Holdings (UK). The event was brought together by BLM's China Desk, which had previously hosted the Shenzhen European Office at BLM in Manchester.
The conference also featured in Chinese newspaper, Europe Times, which you can see here.
