Redundancy is an area that no one likes to think about, let alone manage. However, by learning how to carry out a lawful redundancy process this will not only protect against successful unfair dismissal claims but will also allow things to run more smoothly for all involved.
During this lunchtime forum we will explain how to conduct a lawful redundancy process, with a particular focus on how to achieve the optimal tax outcome for the employer and employee. After our presentation, we will encourage a round-table discussion so that like-minded professionals can share their experiences and discuss the problems that they have encountered in carrying out redundancies. It will be a great learning experience.
This seminar will cover:
- What is genuine redundancy?
- Consultation requirements
- Redeployment
- The tips and traps from a tax perspective
- Re-engaging the worker
- Round-table discussion on real life experiences and typical problem areas
Speakers:
Rosalie Cattermole and Abigail Vipond
Who should come?
- HR Professionals
- Business owners
- Those with responsibility for management of staff
