Barbadians, residents of Barbados and visitors alike, will soon be able to enjoy the taste of high-quality arabica coffee, based on the recent announcement that Starbucks Coffee Company in partnership with Caribbean Coffee Traders Ltd (CCTL) will open its first location in the country this year.

The new coffee outlet will be located in Haggatt Hall, St. Michael, a stone's throw away from the Ross University School of Medicine. Barbados will join the other Starbucks markets in the Caribbean, which include Aruba, Curacao, the Bahamas, Cayman Islands, Jamaica, Puerto Rico, Trinidad and Tobago and most recently, the Dominican Republic.

Invest Barbados is pleased to welcome the internationally renowned Starbucks brand to Barbados. Approximately 15 persons will be employed at the local outlet, sourced in partnership with local entities to provide locals with an opportunity to develop a career path. CCTL, which has over 25 years of experience in retail and hospitality regionally, looks forward to celebrating local culture and coffee traditions, as well as creating a positive impact in the communities of Barbados.
