Covid-19 makes a case for Nigeria and Africa to focus on collaboration through the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA). There should be an increased emphasis on manufacturing and intra-African trading.

Also, the flow of intervention funds from donor agencies to support other causes in the continent is expected to decrease, after spending so much on COVID-19 response. There is a need to rethink the how, what, when and where of external funding.

This webinar will focus on the key issues and next steps for regional integration and the AfCFTA within the context of COVID-19 pandemic. We will also examine the critical factors shaping the economic relationship between Nigeria and the international community going forward. The objective is to brainstorm and articulate the critical success factors and policy lessons to serve as input into Nigeria's action plan.
