Runners will show some Irish spirit during the 14th Annual Shamrock Run on March 14 in Asheville.
It's hosted by the Asheville Catholic School ("ACS") and sponsored in part by Ward and Smith. There are two races: a 5K and a 10K, both of which start and finish at the school. A Fun Run will precede the start of both races. Tickets are $10 for the Fun Run, $35 for the 5K, and $40 for the 10K. Online registration is still open. Participants should stick around after their race for the award ceremony, and what organizers say is the "best post-race food in Asheville racing."
The 14th Annual Shamrock Run is about more than just running. It benefits the O'Brien and William Edwards Gibbs Memorial Scholarship Fund, which was created in 2018 after the loss of two ACS students to a car accident.
