October 2019 – Kinstellar's Budapest office is proud to have sponsored the annual conference of the Hungarian Corporate Compliance Society (MVCT), which took place on 9 October 2019 in Budapest. This was the MVCT's largest annual conference to date, with over 100 compliance experts and practitioners from Hungary in attendance.

The focus of the conference was to discuss and evaluate various compliance issues, in particular compliance structures, conflicts of interest, and fraud and bribery related issues. In addition, the conference discussed and provided further insight into the importance of, and the setting up of, effective compliance systems from various angles.

During the conference Kinstellar Partner in Budapest Ákos Nagy gave an interactive presentation with an anonymous case study on how an internal investigation is carried out. He also explained how to apply effective prevention against potential conflicts of interest and fraudulent managerial behaviour.

Zsombor Orbán, our TMT expert in Budapest, led an interesting panel discussion with three data protection experts regarding the impact of the practical changes introduced by the GDPR concerning the use of camera surveillance systems, photography at public events, and direct marketing.
