LAS VEGAS (December 18, 2019) – Lewis Roca Rothgerber Christie was recognized during the 2019 Pro Bono awards ceremony presented by the Legal Aid Center of Southern Nevada. The firm was the recipient of the Lied Award for the most pro bono cases represented by a law firm, equating to at least 26 new pro bono cases for the Children's Attorneys Project, appeals, landlord/tenant and probate issues.

Additionally, Meng Zhong, an associate in the firm's intellectual property practice, was named the recipient of the Myrna Williams Children's Pro Bono Award for 2019. This award is presented to an attorney each year who has made a significant difference in a child's life. Mr. Zhong donated 95 hours of pro bono services addressing abused and neglected children as part of the Legal Aid Center's Children's Attorneys Project in 2019.

The firm also had two attorneys listed in the 100 Hours Club, a group of attorneys who provided more than 100 hours of pro bono services and four attorneys listed in the 50 Hours Club, who committed more than 50 hours of pro bono services throughout the year.

The Legal Aid Center of Southern Nevada is a private, non-profit 501(c)(3) corporation dedicated to providing free community legal services to those in need. It has been providing free legal aid for Clark County's low income residents since 1958.
