With the objective of capturing greater synergies between the many practices that can contribute with the prevention and solution of matters involving improper conducts and acts of corruption, KLA has revamped its Compliance & Investigations practice. Filipe Magliarelli, partner of the White-Collar practice at KLA and one of the heads of the Compliance & Investigations practice, and Catarina Rattes, who was already in charge of matters of risk assessment and implementation and review of compliance programs, will jointly lead the Compliance & Investigations practice at KLA, with a team of 8 lawyers and with the support of the partners Paulo Prado (public law and life sciences), Ricardo Reis (contracts) and Tiago Cortez (antitrust, life sciences and civil ligation). With this change, KLA will continue to render high quality services in this field, now providing its clients with a fully coordinated and wide-ranging group, fully capable of handling strategies of prevention of corruption and antitrust violations, investigation and the negotiations with the various governmental authorities for the best solution for each case.
