Carey Olsen's growing Asia practices secure legal directory recognition

Carey Olsen's Singapore and Hong Kong offices have been recognised in the offshore section of the annual Chambers Asia-Pacific rankings.

The 2020 edition of the highly respected legal directory has once again ranked Carey Olsen alongside the other leading offshore firms in the region and recognised Singapore managing partner Anthony McKenzie among the leading individuals in the offshore category for corporate & finance, including investment funds.

Mr McKenzie, who earlier this year was one of only 10 lawyers named in the Asian Legal Business (ALB) 2019 Offshore Client Choice List, is described by Chambers as having an 'active practice' that 'advises on notable capital markets and restructuring mandates'.

Mr McKenzie said: "This continued legal directory recognition comes at an exciting time for Carey Olsen in Asia as it follows last month's launch of our litigation, insolvency and restructuring practice in Singapore and our new corporate practice in Hong Kong earlier this year. Chambers is a highly respected publication and its endorsement is the result of the continued commitment and hard work of all our staff in Asia and testament to the team's ability to deliver excellent client service across all practice areas."

In the past year, Carey Olsen's Asia offices have been shortlisted for a series of industry awards, including the ALB Hong Kong Law Awards 2019, China Law & Practice Awards 2019, the China Offshore Awards 2019 and the HFM Asia Services Awards 2019.

The firm has had a presence in Asia since launching a Singapore office in 2015, which was then followed by the opening of a Hong Kong office in 2016.
