Dan Moss, partner in the Washington, D.C., office of Jones Day's Business Restructuring & Reorganization Practice, has been appointed as the USA Co-Chair of the G36 committee of INSOL. The G36 committee is the principal vehicle for INSOL's activities, advocacy, and coordination on cross-border matters. Those matters include, but are not limited to, UNCITRAL model law on cross-border insolvency and related legislative efforts in various jurisdictions, and the World Bank Principles and Guidelines for Effective Insolvency Systems. The G36 committee is comprised of various restructuring and insolvency professionals called upon to counsel financial institutions and corporations across the globe.
Dan has represented debtors, creditors, trustees, and creditor committees in some of the largest and historic corporate and government reorganizations in the United States. He also has extensive experience counseling clients on fraudulent conveyance, preferential transfer, fiduciary duty, and corporate governance issues.
INSOL International is a world-wide federation of national associations of accountants and lawyers who specialize in turnaround and insolvency. There are currently more than 44 member associations with more than 10,500 professionals participating as members of INSOL International. Individuals who do not belong to a member association join as individual members. The G36 is the principal vehicle to advance INSOL's goals with respect to insolvency programs around the world.
