Walkers (London based) BVI and Cayman law teams have retained their Tier 1 ranking in the latest edition of Legal 500, which also endorses Banking & Finance partner Jack Boldarin and Insolvency & Dispute Resolution partner John O'Driscoll as "Leading Lawyers", with another five of Walkers' growing London team also highlighted for individual praise.
Partner Mark Galazzi and senior counsel Catherine Overton are named "Rising Stars" while partners Hughie Wong, Neil McDonald and Sara Hall are also individually credited.
In line with the growth across Walkers' ten international offices, the number of lawyers in the firm's London team has grown by 50% in the last 12 months - the team includes lawyers admitted in Cayman, BVI and Ireland, three of the firm's key jurisdictions, as well as lawyers who have practised in the firm's Jersey and Guernsey offices.
Jack Boldarin, managing partner of Walkers' London office, said: "We are delighted to have been recognised as the pre-eminent offshore law firm in London."
"We continue to invest in and grow our London office because the City remains a focal point for the time zone-critical BVI and Cayman law offering that we provide to clients in the EMEA region, and we have welcomed Risk & Regulatory partner Sara Hall and Banking & Finance partner Mark Galazzi to the partnership here in London in the last 12 months."
