Grab a slice, network, and enjoy a thoughtful discussion on key policy issues. The Holland & Knight Policy & Pizza series was created to provide an informal setting in which young policy and legal professionals examine issues across the policy spectrum and engage their colleagues and peers in discussion. The lunch series is held every other month, with a focus on pressing and topical policy issues.
Our September session, "Advancing Tribal Sovereignty in the 116th Congress," will be led by Holland & Knight Senior Public Affairs Advisor Kayla Gebeck and Mike Fisher, president of Georgetown University Law Center's Native American Law Students Association (NALSA).

Speakers will provide insights into what the 116th Congress has done so far and what efforts are on the horizon to advance tribal sovereignty. They also will discuss what Congress is doing to honor treaty rights, address missing and murdered indigenous women, improve tribal infrastructure, protect Indian water rights, promote economic development in Indian Country, advance tribal homeland security and emergency management, and much more.
