In May 2015, the Department of Merchant Shipping (the current Shipping Deputy Ministry to the President) introduced the new type of " Commercial Yacht " in Cyprus which applies to large Yachts not used for private pleasure.
Our Shipping Department, having a long experience in Maritime and Shipping Law, in May 2015 undertook, handled and completed the registration of the first Commercial Mega Yacht in the Cyprus Registry, under the name "ANKA".
ANKA is the fifth hull in the award-winning 40-meter series from Princess Yachts, she was built according to the LY3 regulations and she was designed to perform international voyages, carrying up to 12 passengers.
