A team led by partner Richard Daggett advised Clarivate Analytics on the Jersey law aspects of the merger and listing of the newly incorporated Jersey company, Clarivate Analytics plc – the new company is one of a growing number of Jersey companies admitted to trading on the NYSE.

The Ogier team, which worked closely with lawyers from lead counsel Latham and Watkins' Chicago, Washington and London offices, included senior associates Amy Garrod and Alan Stirling.

Ogier has a long-running relationship with Clarivate, having advised when it was acquired by Onex Corp and Baring Private Equity Asia in a $3.5 billion spin-off from Thomson Reuters in 2016.

Richard said: "We are very pleased to have advised on such a significant deal, including the prestigious listing of Clarivate Analytics plc on the NYSE.  The increased interest in using Jersey companies for listings on the US markets shows a growing acceptance of the jurisdiction and an understanding of the benefits in using such vehicles.

"We have been working with the Clarivate team since 2016, and are delighted to see how quickly things have progressed for them during that time.  We look forward to working with them going forward in this new chapter of their exciting story."
