Funds expert Joanne Huckle, a partner in Ogier's market-leading Cayman funds team, is joining a panel of female investment managers at a conference aimed at doubling the amount of assets managed by women each year.
"Variant perspectives: Women in value investing" is a conference empowering those in the industry to invest more with women to seek greater diversity in asset management.
Joanne is joining a panel with Debra Franzese (Seward Kissel), Tracey Castle-Newman (Morgan Stanley) and Michele Walker (Ernst & Young) to provide insight on how to make the dream of winning a fund a reality.
She said: "I'm excited to be speaking alongside such an inspiring group of women. We will challenge ourselves to really hone in on where we attribute our professional success, what we wish we had done differently and we are continuing to challenge ourselves to grow professionally.
"I am proud that 'women helping women' is something we already see in the funds industry in Cayman, particularly through 100 Women in Finance, but I do have a sense that we can always do more, and this conference is part of the positive movement.
"Peer engagement is hugely important, not only for women in the industry and those of a younger generation with aspirations to join it, but for the industry as a whole.
Joanne advises hedge funds, hybrid funds and private equity funds, top tier investment managers, administrators and other fund service providers on fund launches, ongoing legal and regulatory compliance and termination. She was recently described by Chambers Global 2019 as "an expert in the funds space" and "a popular choice among clients, who highlight her knowledgeable and very responsive guidance."
"Variant perspectives: Women in value investing" takes place in Omaha, Nebraska on 3 May 2019.
